K9 Dojo’s Puppy Imprinting gets you and your new puppy off to a great start when it is most crucial. Behaviours are best learned in the early stages, which is why it is so important to provide your puppy with the building blocks to be a great dog. We help your puppy learn wanted behaviours like crate training, potty training and proper socialization with other animals and people, and to avoid behaviour problems such as jumping on people or furniture, biting or “mouthing”, or possessiveness.
With our expertise we help you to avoid the need for possible behavior modifications in the future, and be ahead of the game by teaching your new puppy things that will come in handy for the life of the dog. We encourage owners of new pets to take advantage of this time in your puppies’ life to teach them what is right from wrong, to maintain a happy dog and family. Training is done mainly on-leash and includes a lot of motivation and play to keep your puppy interested and enjoying our training. We are also available to help you understand and make educated decisions about things like what toys and food are appropriate for your puppy, or any questions that you may have overall about your puppy. We allow you to call or email regardless if it’s late at night because we understand that having a new puppy comes with questions that you need answers to, and it does not always happen during regular work-time hours. Puppy Imprinting is suitable anywhere from the time you bring your new puppy home and even if they have not had all vaccinations! We cater to our clients and as such we would do all training in safer environments until vaccinations are complete.
