Before meeting Tom at K9 Dojo we had gone through several training programs without success. They just didn’t measure up to the level of obedience training we wanted. We enrolled in the 10-week private novice training class and just after 2 weeks we saw an amazing difference. King (Australian Shehperd) was responding to our commands and starting to heal off-leash. Because we just had a new born and King wasn’t adjusting well, I sincerely believe that Tom kept our family together. King is happy and is an integral part of our family. At the end of the 10-week program, King was healing off-leash & coming on a single command. K9 Dojo is the best for you and your dog.

My St, Bernard (just shy of 1 year at the time) had been to other training which was not to my standard & actually created an aggression in him. If I hadnt met Tom when I did I can’t imagine how this aggression would have progressed but, luckily, I started his training & a year later am a dedicated believer in his methods. K9 dojo is a great school and I would highly recommend anyone & everyone to join!
K9 Dojo saved my dog & my sanity. Thanks Tom.

I have been thrilled with my choice of trainer. Tomer from K9Dojo taught me how to train my dog. Now, my dog can get in the car by himself thereby saving my back from hauling 70 pounds, how to heel without a leash, to come back when I call him…. and so much more. And, we still have 6 lessons left to go!
I have a dog that I can take ANYWHERE and feel confident. That is SO important to me, since my last dog was very aggressive and I couldn’t do that.
I definitely recommend k9dojo.
You can see how well my dog is doing after only 5 lessons at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Up6w_7XxdVQ

We enlisted Tom and the K9 Dojo one month ago. After two separate training programs and employing different approaches to curb Eddie’s food aggression and possessiveness of his food bowl he actually got worse. Even though he was a great dog in most other respects this food aggression was getting worse, to the point where he bit me and my wife. Tom came to our home and in one session his food aggression disappeared. After two more sessions, he comes when called in offleash environments. His level of obedience is improving in all other aspects and we are all much more well adjusted. Tom’s techniques work quickly and effectively and he helps us to better understand where Eddie is coming from.

Had we not met Tom, we likely would have given Eddie up. Now we are a much better family with him part of it.

Thanks Tom…………Scott

Tom has been great with my 4 year old Husky/Shepherd rescue. She had fear aggression toward dogs and some humans and was overprotective of me.

Her fear came from a previous dog attack, as well as insecurity of being re-homed 3 times before I adopted her.

I was told by other trainers to accept her as she is and that she would probably never be able to socialize/play with other dogs.

Refusing to believe that, I continued to work with her and then I met Tom. Since working with him, my dog has successfully interacted with other dogs off leash. She has stopped lunging and snapping at every dog that walks by us on leash and she listens to me more.

Don’t give up on your dog, give Tom a call.

Deciding on the type of dog food you provide is one of the most important decisions you will ever make for your puppy or older dog. Dog food nutrition directly influences every aspect of your dog’s life. Things like how puppies grow, their behavior habits, health, overall well-being and appearance are all closely connected to the nutrition we provide – it’s a big responsibility.

With all the recent publicity and concern with the dog food recall of 2008 the spotlight has been aimed fairly and squarely at the big commercial dog food companies. Us dog lovers are finally becoming more aware and educated about providing wholesome, nutritionally balanced meals for our dogs. So where do we start in our search to find the best dog food? What are our options, and who can we trust or even believe?

The Best Dog Breed For Children
Home

For the most part dogs and children are a fantastic match – they often share a very special and close bond together. But when people ask what is the best dog breed for children I don’t believe there is a right or wrong answer.

Click Here to View the Top 10 Dog Breeds For Children!

This is because the breed of the dog does not solely determine how your children and dog will get along. All dogs, regardless of breed type are individuals. The breed type is an important factor but it is only one of the ingredients that combine to shape the temperament and behavior of your dog.

What are these factors?

The dog’s breed type – some breeds are obviously more suited to living among families with kids (Labrador, Golden Retriever etc.).

Where you purchase the dog from (the genetics and bloodlines of the dog).

The puppy socialization you and the puppy’s breeder provide.

    The training you provide.

How your children are educated to behave around the dog.

Jump straight to: How To Train A Puppy:
Step-by-Step Puppy Training Checklist

The arrival of a new puppy is an exciting time for any household. Your cute and cuddly little fluff ball will immediately command center stage from the whole family. Before long though, it becomes very clear that the new arrival means there’s lots for you to do, and even more for him/her to learn. Puppy training must top your list of priorities.

Your young puppy is totally reliant and dependent on you to help him habituate and fit into our human, domesticated world. Your guidance and leadership will determine what path his life takes and what type of dog he will become. During puppyhood you play the lead role and are responsible for shaping the character, temperament and behavior habits that your dog will carry throughout his life. Your puppy’s future is in your capable hands…
